Small Water Systems Operation & Maintenance Manual (also known as the Sacramento Manual) - This is designed to train operators in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of small water systems. Class VI Operator's Workshops
This series is aimed at training Class VI operators in the content areas of the exam. This series will be held 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The class is a teleconference format broadcast at 13 sites across Virginia. These classes are free of charge. Presented by VDH Office of Drinking Water and VA Tech Continuing and Professional Education. Click for 2007 Schedule.
Video tapes and DVD's of each workshop are available for loan for 30 days. If you are interested in borrowing a previous session, please email Holly Williams hmccall@vt.edu to place an order. Please include your name, mailing address, phone number, waterworks name, the session you would like, and whether you want a VHS tape or DVD. Videos are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, you will not receive CPE hours for borrowing a video.
Short Course for Class VI Waterworks Operators
This program is for operators who want to spend a short, intense amount of time preparing for the exam. Each two day short course (conducted over three days) will provide you with extensive information about the operation, maintenance, and administration of Class VI Waterworks. Several experts from Virginia will teach the specific subject matter contained in the "Class VI Operator's Training Manual." In addition, you will participate in a computer laboratory and take an on-line practice examination.
OTHER TRAINING PROGRAMS
Other training links are provided as a service. However, since they are not courses offered by the Virginia Center for Very Small Waterworks the content has not been evaluated and, therefore, cannot be endorsed. Unlike Virginia Center for Very Small Waterworks courses, you will have to pay the entire registration fee, if any, yourself.
